Ingredients for the Cake
• 1¾ cups (220 g) flour
• ¾ cup (75 g) cocoa powder
• 1½ cups (300 g) granulated sugar
• ½ cup (100 g) brown sugar
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 2 large eggs (at room temperature)
• 1 cup (240 ml) milk
• ½ cup (120 ml) vegetable oil
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• ¾ cup (180 ml) hot coffee or hot water

For the Chocolate Cream
• 1 cup (230 g) butter, softened
• 3 cups (360 g) powdered sugar
• ¾ cup (75 g) cocoa powder
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 4–6 tablespoons cream or milk

Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease three 8-inch cake pans and line the bottoms with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugars, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth and slightly frothy.
4. Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
5. Slowly add the hot coffee and whisk gently → The batter should be thin and runny (this ensures the cake stays moist).
6. Pour the batter evenly into the pans and bake for 25–30 minutes. A toothpick should come out clean.
7. Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Making the Cream
1. Beat the softened butter until creamy and light in color.
2. Sift in the powdered sugar and cocoa mixture, adding slowly and mixing on low speed.
3. Add the salt and vanilla.
4. Add 1 tablespoon of cream to adjust the consistency of the cream. It should be smooth and spreadable.

1. Place the first layer on a serving plate → spread a generous amount of cream on top.
2. Place the second layer → cream → third layer → cover with cream.
3. Cover the entire cake with the remaining cream and smooth it out with a spatula.
Optional: Refrigerate for 20 minutes → lightly warm with a spatula to achieve a shiny, silky surface.
