Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

 



Here's a delicious recipe for Stuffed Cabbage Rolls:


*Ingredients:*

- 1 large head of cabbage

- 1 pound ground meat (beef, pork, or a combination)

- 1 onion, finely chopped

- 1 cup cooked rice

- 1 teaspoon paprika

- Salt and pepper to taste

- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes

- 1 tablespoon olive oil


*Instructions:*

1. *Prepare cabbage*: Remove leaves from the cabbage head, blanching them in boiling water to soften.

2. *Make filling*: Mix ground meat, chopped onion, cooked rice, paprika, salt, and pepper.

3. *Assemble rolls*: Place a tablespoon of filling in the center of each cabbage leaf, folding the stem end over the filling and rolling into a neat package.

4. *Cook rolls*: Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the cabbage rolls, seam-side down, and cook until browned. Add crushed tomatoes and simmer, covered, for 30-40 minutes or until the cabbage is tender.


*Tips:*

- *Use fresh cabbage*: Fresh cabbage leaves will make the rolls easier to assemble and more tender.

- *Don't overfill*: Fill the cabbage leaves just enough to allow for folding and rolling.

- *Serve with sour cream*: A dollop of sour cream adds a nice tanginess to the dish.
