Ingredients:

For the Dough:

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast

1 cup warm milk

⅓ cup granulated sugar

⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

½ teaspoon salt

For the Filling:

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1 cup walnuts, chopped

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

4 oz cream cheese, softened

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 ½ cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, eggs, melted butter, and the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1–2 hours until doubled in size.

Roll out the dough into a large rectangle. Spread softened butter evenly, then sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped walnuts.

Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 even rolls. Arrange in a greased baking dish.

Cover and let rise again for 30–45 minutes until puffy.

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown.

While rolls bake, prepare the frosting by beating cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
