Ingredients:
- 8 shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lobster tail, meat removed and chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 filet mignon steaks, 6 oz each
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions:
1. Season each filet mignon generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Carefully add the filet mignon and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare doneness. Adjust the time if you prefer a different doneness. Once cooked to your liking, remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.
3. In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of butter and the peeled shrimp. Sauté for approximately 2 minutes on each side until they turn pink. Once cooked, remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.
4. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Immediately add the chopped lobster meat and sauté for 1-2 minutes until it becomes opaque.
5. Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and bring it to a gentle simmer. Allow it to cook for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Gradually mix in the grated Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt, and continue to cook until the sauce thickens. Taste and adjust the seasoning with more salt and black pepper if needed.
6. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, stirring well to coat them in the rich sauce.
7. To serve, place each filet mignon on a plate and generously spoon the shrimp and lobster cream sauce over the top. Finish with a garnish of freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color.
